Hi, I'm Abby Tam!

As a Broadcast Journalism student at the University of South Carolina’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications, I love diving into a project—whether it’s editing a story, interviewing someone, or working with a team to produce a live broadcast. 

Being involved with student media at USC, Student Gamecock Television and The Daily Gamecock, gives me the chance to grow my skills by giving me hands-on experience in producing live and pre-recorded broadcasts and creating video content.

Leadership is another passion of mine! I’ve held several executive roles with SGTV and currently serve as the Multimedia Editor for The Daily Gamecock. Collaborating with a team is one of the things I love most about journalism!

My ultimate goal is to produce or direct live broadcasts, but I’m interested in applying my skills across many different roles in the newsroom.
