The Daily Gamecock

The Daily Gamecock is the fully-student run newspaper at the University of South Carolina. 

In the Spring of 2025, I joined TDG as the Multimedia Editor, where I led the production of social media video content. I managed the video gathering efforts, writing and editing of TDG's weekly Wrap Up. I also assisted with social media management across all of TDG's social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, and TikTok.

As Multimedia Editor, my main responsibilities included producing the weekly Wrap Up and managing social media posts. However, I wanted to take on more individual projects, and the 2025 USC Student Government Election provided the perfect opportunity to develop more specialized digital content.

The Wrap Up is TDG's weekly short, published on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, that recaps the biggest stories from TDG's newsletters. With my broadcasting background, I knew I wanted to refine its writing style to be more concise and shift the focus toward specialized content rather than covering a mix of different topics.

Another responsibility I had was posting content across TDG's social media platforms. Alongside TDG's Engagement Director, we led the creation of videos, feed posts and tweets to promote TDG's stories.
